April to June 2010

Dirty Dancing Tribute 5th June
It was a really good night with a very good tribute act.  During the second act they had everyone up learning dance routines.  They also picked people out to perform their own act on stage like a mini Britain's got talent.  The tribute artistes were good singers and dancers and really engaged with the audience.  It's just a pity that it was not very well supported by the Club members. We need to have decent ticket sales to make it worth while putting on events.

We held our first St George's Day disco on Friday 23rd April, which unfortunately was not as successful as we anticipated.  Even the free pig roast didn't encourage a huge amount of ticket sales.  Andy Wright, as always put on a good disco with a wide variety of British music.  The pig roast itself was great - plenty of meat and accompaniments served in a fresh roll.  We will try something different for this time next year.  All suggestions are welcomed.

January to March 2010

It was a difficult start to the year with all the bad weather.  Several functions were cancelled and the Club was forced to close.

Since then trade has picked back up and our Sunday lunches are becoming more and more popular.  We had over 150 people book for Mother's Day.

We have now added a Comments page to the site, so that customers can post their good or bad experiences.  The Club will remove any offence comments, so please keep your comments  polite.
