The Skittle Alley holds up to 150 people.  For skittle games it has 2 alleys.  When not in use this makes an ideal dance area. It also has a bar. 

Own catering is allowed in the Skittle Alley (£50 deposit and conditions apply)

The Lounge can hold up to 85 people. It is available for quiet family meals and small functions afternoons and evenings Monday to Saturday.  We now have a dance floor that we can put down for functions in the Lounge.  This must be hired for all functions where dancing will take place. The fee for this is only £20 and make the room more multi purpose and not just for dining.

Do you take bookings for 18th or 21st birthday parties? We take parties for all ages, though certain conditions will apply.

Can I hire a room if I am not a member? Yes we do allow non-members to make bookings. If you are not a member, but have a member of the family who is, they can book on your behalf at the members rate.  If you do not have any family who are members, then why not save money on your booking and become an Member. There are lot of other benefits of becoming a member - see the Member's Discount page.

What time can I hire a room until in the evening? The room is yours until midnight.  Last orders at the bar is 11.30pm.  Drinking up time is 11.45pm.  Music must finish by midnight.

You can apply for an extension at the cost of £25 until 12.30am.  Last orders at the bar is midnight. If you are having a band or disco, they must be finished be 12.15am.  Everyone must be out of the building by 12.30am. An extension will only be granted in agreement with the Club Directors.

Do you allow confetti? NO confetti or party poppers of any description allowed as it causes staining to the wooden floors.

Can I hire a room for a ticket selling or charity event? Yes, though any profit making or ticket selling function is classed as an outside event so the hire charge is £200 irrespective of if it is a charity event or booked by a Club member.

Do you have a bouncy castle? The Club has a bouncy castle which can be hired for £35 for children's parties.  It must be supervised by an adult. The hirer will be asked to sign a separate contract for this.

How do I book a function? All bookings must be completed via the Club Office through the one of the Club Secretaries (Maggie or Lynne).

Bookings cannot be taken by anyone else - this is to avoid double bookings or any other mistakes.

The Club Office will need the following information when making a booking:

Full Name and Address
Membership No (if applicable)
Contact numbers
Date of function
Type of function (wedding, birthday etc)
Approx number of guests
Room required (Main Hall, Skittle Alley or Lounge)
Buffet required

Once the Club Office has provisionally booked your function you will need to send the Club Office confirmation in writing within 7 days.  When we have this we will send you a contract, which you must sign and return to the Club Office along with your payment within 10 days

Until we have received a signed contract and payment, the booking is not confirmed and the date may be given out to another hirer.
