Do you take bookings for 18th or 21st birthday parties?
 
Answer
We used to take bookings, but unfortunately the Club had a lot of trouble at some of these occasions and the decision by the Management Committee was to stop them altogether.

Do you allow outside catering?
 
Answer
No we do not allow outside catering, but catering can be provided by the Club.  See the Food page for details.

Question
Can I hire a room if I am not a member?
 
Answer
Yes we do allow non-members to make bookings. If you are not a member, but have a member of the family who is, they can book on your behalf at the members rate.  If you do not have any family who are members, then why not save money on your booking and become an Associate Member. See the For Hire page for prices.

What time can I hire a room until in the evening?
  
Answer
The room is yours until midnight.  Last orders at the bar is 11.30pm.  Drinking up time is 11.45pm.  Music must finish by midnight.

You can apply for an extension at the cost of £25 until 12.30am.  Last orders at the bar is midnight. If you are having a band or disco, they must be finished be 12.15am.  Everyone must be out of the building by 12.30am. An extension will only be granted in agreement with the Club Steward and whether there is the availability of staff.

How do I book a function?
 
Answer
All Hire of Hall bookings must be completed via the Club Secretary on 01452 392036 or via email.  Bookings cannot be taken in the Club - this is to avoid double bookings or other mistakes.

We will need the following information when making a booking:

Full Name and Address
Contact numbers
Date of function
Type of function (wedding, birthday etc)
Approx number of guests
Room required (Main Hall, Skittle Alley or Lounge)
Buffet required

Once we have provisionally booked your function you will need to send us confirmation in writing.  When we have this we will send you a contract, which you must sign and return to us along with your payment. 


Question
Which room should I book?
 
Answer
Most big functions either take place in the Main Hall or Skittle Alley and will depend on the number of guests:

Main Hall holds up to 300
Skittle Alley holds up to 120
Lounge is only available in the afternoons (Monday to Thursdays) and caters for a small number of guests and will depend on the function
